My new blog…

March 9, 2010 on 4:46 pm | In Uncategorized | 2 Comments

Hi all – I’ve decided to start a blog for many of the usual reasons.  To improve my website’s search rank, to offer techy tips, to vent at the political madness that is occurring globally, to display some of my own writing, and to encourage contact and feedback from old friends and new.

Oops, there’s one more reason I started the blog – so people could ask me questions!  If you’ve got any reasonable question, technical, political, anything, I’ll try and answer it in as timely a manner as I can.  All bets are off when I get busy…

I hope that this collection of tips, tricks, rants, and art will be interesting and educational for all who visit.  Enjoy!

  1. Why “zen arrow”? What about “Buddist arrow” or “Sufi spear” or “Tao taser” or “catholic grenade”? The list, I think could go on. Maybe it has to do with that book about Zen and archery.

Whatever the reason, I’m sure its a good one.

Meanwhile, I’m to pick up new tips and tricks, and even consider a rant or two from John Hechtman, who’s been helping me keep my computers healthy and quick.

  2. In studying Zen, there is the idea that a Zen Master can be blindfolded, and still hit the bullseye of a target with a bow and arrow. I am a visually handicapped person, so the idea of calling my DBA Zen Arrow Products appealed to me. Despite my limited outer sight, my insight is (hopefully) excellent! :)
